Chris Brown rejects plea deal in D.C case, headed for trial
TMZ reports that Chris was close to copping a plea but the deal fell apart because the prosecutor and Chris' lawyer couldn't agree on a statement of fact about the events leading to the alleged assault.
Chris has always denied assaulting a fan in 2013 outside a hotel in D.C. If he'd pled guilty, he would not have to serve any additional time in jail. Now that he's going to trial, jail time is on the line again. His bodyguard has already been convicted of the assault. A trial date has been set for September.

Nicki Minaj is usually known for her
outrageous videos, ridiculous red-carpet photo ops, and crazy-colored
wigs and makeup that distract us from whatever substance might be
underneath those layers. But recently the Trinidadian YMCMB rapper
showed something else off: her natural hair.
Recently during a photo shoot at an undisclosed location, Nicki Minaj posted some raw, genuine behind-the-scenes pics on her Instagram.
Her face was half-beaten with makeup, revealing a beautiful natural
glow. But if that wasn't shocking enough, the star showcased her natural
hair, titling one of pictures "No perm. No extensions." Ah, we love it!
Perhaps Nicki is catching on to the #TeamNatural hair movement? Or, maybe she read EClark6's recent article on the do's and don'ts of flat-ironing naturally
curly hair. Regardless, this lady is freakin' gorgeous and likely
gained some more fans yesterday! We enjoy seeing this side of Nicki, and
can only hope for more embracing to come.
Is D’banj Truly Finished?
If music is ranting on the mic, controversial Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh would make any playlist.
It may be difficult to comprehend D’banj’s sudden decision to sign Tonto, given the array of talents in the land. From the streets of Lagos to the creeks of Port Harcourt, talents abound. Granted, Tonto is not the first actress to make a mess of music, but never has anyone been this proudly woeful.If Genevieve was terrible, then Tonto is suffocating.
So what was D’banj thinking? Could it be that he aims to beat Don Jazzy to his boot and boast of a raving female act…say one in the class of Tiwa savage? Or as Tonto’s Suga Ray suggests, to provide a close substitute to Don Jazzy?
Seems D’banj has never been more confused. If anything, Good Music seems to have outdone him. D’banj is floating. Nowhere to be found. Can he say he’s better off his Mohits days? Where are the hits? The awards… he’s sure scooping all of them!
Could his mixed fortunes also have affected his ability to spot a true talent? Unlike the days past, D’banj has not struggled with anything but music. While he was instrumental in honing the sonorous Wande Coal, he seems to have lost his steam. Ditto his waning songs, popularity, acceptance and the signing of the croaky Tonto to his label.
Perhaps, Dbanj may have settled for the wide card of honing talents, turning scrap to diamond. After all, it took Don Jazzy to transform Dr Sid into an endearing singer today.
Is Tonto such a music talent? Really? Isn’t this a case of pushing one’s luck too far? But, wait a minute …can D’banj really turn a music frog in Tonto into a music diva?

The 29-year-old royal was joined by Alessandra Ambrosio and many others at the big party. Earlier in the day, Prince Harry played sports with kids at the ACER Charity for disadvantaged children after helping planting trees at Cota 200, a small village in the Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest.
Prince Harry was almost moved to tears while meeting with some orphans whose mother was tragically murdered and father in jail.
After hearing the story, Prince Harry said the tragic death of his own mother Princess Diana was “nothing” compared to their story.
“I was completely overwhelmed and shocked. I’ve never blubbed in public as far as I can remember but I was pretty damn close,” Prince Harry told reporters. “It was amazing to hear those stories. It seems ridiculous for me to say to these kids how lucky and fortunate they are considering their situation. Obviously they are far from that. But I am only too aware by listening to their stories how many other kids there are like this that aren’t as fortunate as them.”

Uruguay's Luis Suarez Banned From Remaining World Cup Games for Biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini
The 27-year-old player has been banned for “football-related activities” and will rule him out of the World Cup as well as the start of the soccer season. Luis is also being banned from even entering the stadium.
