Pharrell Williams takes the spotlight to illuminate the Empire State Building in yellow for the United Nations’ International Day of Happiness on Friday afternoon (March 20) in New York City.
The 41-year-old singer was given the honor thanks to his hit song “Happy” that was released last year.
“Thank you @empirestatebldg for the opportunity to light up the sky yellow tonight for #InternationalDayofHappiness,” Pharrell posted to Instagram later that day.

Chris Brown rocks purple hair while arriving for a progress hearing at Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday (March 20) in Los Angeles.
At the hearing, the judge notified the 25-year-old entertainer that he was off probation and closed his assault case involving then-girlfriend Rihanna after six years.
“I couldn’t be more delighted,” Chris‘ lawyer Mark Geragos shared after the hearing.
He added, “He is in a spot right now and a place right now that I couldn’t be prouder of him.

Jessica Pare has just welcomed her first child with her boyfriend, musician John Kastner!
The 34-year-old actress gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday (March 19), according to People.
“Please meet Blues Anthony Paré Kastner…” John confirmed on Instagram with an adorable pic of his daughter Summer Lee holding the newborn.
If you weren’t aware, Jessica‘s rep announced that she and John were expecting their first baby together in October last year.
